Eagles Nest

The Eagle’s Nest is perfect for a large group wanting a rustic lakeside experience. You have perfect lake access and a dock where the fish bite. It is pet friendly and can accommodate a large group wanting to play. The cabin had many extras in the kitchen and for entertainment. We had an issue with the cooling due to extreme high temperatures and the property manager had a repairman there within a couple of hours. This property is very rural, 30 minutes from a grocery store and is an older log structure full of taxidermy. Hunters and fishermen will love it!

Our family had the best time. We were able to disconnect from devices/work and enjoy our time together. The host was very quick to respond if we had any questions.

I don’t know where to start! First Mike was amazing and so helpful! We have rented many cabins but he was by far the best host! My family and I live in the Chicago suburbs. We wanted a get away to just relax and recharge. This was the perfect place! It’s rustic but not outhouse rustic. It’s really nice inside and out! The kids (ages 6-22) loved the room above “the barn”, the huge yard and the crystal clear lake. We loved the little WiFi so all tablets, phones and laptops had to be put down. And so much family time was had. My 9 year old daughter caught 22 fish in one day and can’t stop talking about it! The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, pots, pans and plates needed to cook/eat. The towels provided are so big and fluffy. Better than a hotel. The hammocks the paddle boat just all so much fun!! Coffee in the morning on the screened in porch facing the lake makes you want to get up early for the views. If you want a get away fun for all ages to recharge this is it!!!

We absolutely love our stay. How quickly a week can go by. We loved that we were able to take our dogs with us to enjoy the week. Nice big yard for outdoor games and huge fire pit. We love hearing and seeing the loons and eagles. We brought out kayaks with and enjoyed fishing from the kayaks and dock. Weedy around the dock but we just used floaties our front of the dock to relax in the water. The kids really enjoyed playing pool in the game room as well.

The space was comfortable, but it contains way too much furniture, making some rooms hard to navigate. There were only 3 of us, so it was fine for us. The property listing did not make clear that there was no bathroom upstairs, where there are beds for many sleepers. The location is fairly remote, we had to drive 27-30 minutes to go hiking and canoeing and even eating out. For fisher-folks (not us), however, that could be satisfied closer by. The kitchen was great - had every appliance and more than most would need/want. Plenty of games and puzzles, as advertised. Cleaning and laundry products and shampoo/conditioner provided - which is very thoughtful.
